Donations and Support

The Principal® Foundation Relief Fund was created to assist individuals who have experienced unexpected financial hardship due to a qualified disaster. Emergency relief grants may be made for immediate food, clothing, housing and transportation needs. The Principal® Foundation started this fund with an initial contribution and encourages others that want to help to consider a donation. Every contribution helps, regardless of the amount. Together, we can support individuals when they are facing the unexpected.

Make a Donation

Donations to the Fund can be made as one-time gifts or recurring periodic contributions. Various donation methods are available via the Donate buttons below.

To make a US donation using your Credit Card, Debit Card or other available options click here.

To make a donation via Text-to-Give, simply text the unique keyword “PFFUND” to 71777.

All donations to the Fund at Emergency Assistance Foundation are tax deductible in the U.S. Emergency Assistance Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity with Tax ID 45-1813056.

Apply for a grant

If you are experiencing a personal financial hardship because of a qualified disaster you can apply for a grant for assistance. Please read the Application FAQ to see if you qualify.

The Emergency Assistance Foundation, Inc. will manage all fund activities, and when needed assist applicants with their grant applications. Principal Foundation will not have any insight into the grant process unless a grant recipient chooses to share his or her story.
